In open floor plans, this will be the great room. In closed floor plans, this will be the living room. However, no matter what it is called, this will be the primary communal room for the family, and guests. This room will be intended to provide the resources that would be needed for the room. On one wall, there will be a coaxial jack, and 5 RJ45 jacks. This is will be intended to allow for flexibility, and convenience. All other walls will just have 3 RJ45 jacks.
This room will also be in the front of the residence. When you enter the residence, this will likely be the first room you would enter. From there, you can go to the other rooms in the residence. This room will be large enough to host a couch, a recliner chair, and end tables. If you choose to have a home telephone service in your residence, then the phone will plug into your provider’s ATA, and the ATA will plug into any of the RJ45 jacks. However, I will see that most people will likely have a cellular line. I will see the point of having a home telephone line for those with children that are too young to have their own telephone.
